This custom notebook features an original painting by Dr. Jeanita Pritchett entitled “See it. Believe it. BECOME it!” The acrylic painting showcases a young Black girl daydreaming about her potential as a scientist. There is no question as to “if” she belongs. She has been inspired by seeing images of those that look like her that have walked the very path that she wishes to embark upon. This artwork was the first to be featured on the cover of the prestigious journal, Analytical Chemistry, as part of the Diversity and Inclusion Cover Art series aimed at promoting the creative work from chemists in BIPOC communities.
